This policy explains what we collect when you visit fastsearch.org and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Visit statistics. We count visits with GoatCounter, software we run on our own server. It records the page viewed, the page you came from, your browser and operating system, your screen size, your language, and your country. It does not set cookies and does not store your IP address.
• Server requests. Our web servers receive your IP address and the details your browser sends whenever a page or file is requested.
• Accounts. If you have an account, we keep your username and a hashed password, to sign you in and keep your account secure. If you turn on two-factor authentication, we also keep the authenticator secret for your account. If you create an API key, we keep its label, a hash of the key, and when it was created and last used.

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. When you sign in, it sets a session cookie and a CSRF cookie, which keep you signed in and protect its forms. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings.

Third parties

We do not send visit data to Google or to any advertising or analytics company. This site loads its fonts from our own servers.

Services that receive some information:

• Our hosting provider, Hetzner, which runs our servers.

Links to other sites are governed by those sites' own policies.

How we use it

To deliver the site, keep it secure, run accounts, and understand how the site is used. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep account details while your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your choices

• Block or limit cookies in your browser settings.
• Use a content blocker to stop visit counting.
• Ask us for a copy, a correction, or deletion of the information we hold about you.

Age

Accounts are for people who are old enough to make an agreement where they live.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top.
